| 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe NOM 327/300 4 speed in rare Sunfire Yellow. One of the cleanest Vettes I’ve seen. Properly restored and repainted in 1999. Options include, leather seats, teak steering wheel, all wheel power disc brakes, power windows, power antenna, F41 super heavy duty suspension, factory sidepipes, GM factory HD hood, GM upgrade to Dual Master Cylinder, Holley Carburetor, Edelbrock manifold, 67 rally wheels with bias redlines. Original radio with the car – cassette is installed. Original front plate holder also available with car. The body of this 66 is razor straight with every seam lining up with correct tolerances - No small feat in a classic Corvette. Bird cage is also excellent. Chrome, rubber, and gaskets are excellent all around. Hint – the car does not leak when washed. Baffles under the hood to keep water from splashing all over the engine in the rain - if you choose to drive it in the rain. The period correct late 1966 engine and transmission were professionally rebuilt in 2006. The valve covers were switched out by the previous owner for reasons we can only guess. Correcting this would be easy or you can leave these on to save a few bucks and impress your friends. As you examine this car carefully, there is honestly little to criticize. Given that the paint on this car is closing in on 9 years, it is remarkably fine. It looks like a super nice lacquer job with that very clean soft sheen of lacquer that you can’t get with a base coat/ clear coat paint, yet there is no crackling anywhere at all. There are some stress fractures beginning to show in the fiberglass, but they are not distracting from the overall appeal of this vette. We have nearly 100 photos available for you to review if you choose, but even with this kind of detailed view, the only real view is walking up to this car and getting in. Many Corvette interiors look sadly worn and scratched, whereas this one looks fresh and almost new. The black dash is clean and shiny as are the instruments and all the brushed aluminum. If you are a stickler for originality, the Sunfire Yellow repaint might rankle you since the original color was Milano Maroon Metallic (Code 988), but you can’t argue that this color is fine. After reviewing the topside, the undercarriage of this car fulfills all expectations. There is no rust at all, no oil residue, and no peeling undercoat. Very clean. Regularly and recently serviced, this car runs and drives like a rocket off the launch pad. I would confidently describe this car as a strong #2.
